Commercial Water Softener SF-200F with Fleck Valve

Commercial Water Softener SF-200F with Fleck Valve

Description

Aqua Components offers commercial water softeners that can provide clean water for your commercial applications. We have several satisfied clients all around the world that use our water softener solutions.

Aqua Components commercial water softeners systems treat the water by removing hardness using resin. The resin replaces the hardness in the water with salt, which is regenerated periodically. The softened water can then pass through a reverse osmosis system to remove the salt without the risk of scaling. Softeners can be used in a variety of services including: industrial, municipal, and institutional applications.

Best Water Softener Commercial Applications

Issues regarding water hardness can be detected as your water bills continue to increase. The effects of hard water are seen in commercial applications that consist of equipment which utilizes water. Commercial industries such as hotels, restaurants, car washes, and pharmaceutical companies require pure, soft water in order to produce quality finished products/services.

The detriment of hard water resides in its containment of minerals in high concentrations. When there is an elevated level of hard minerals such as calcium and magnesium in water then scaling can occur when exposed to equipment. Scaling is the build-up of mineral deposits on the surfaces of material such as pipes, toilets, clothes, water heaters & coolers, kitchen appliances, towels, etc. Equipment that is exposed to scaling suffers a reduction in performance and requires greater amounts of maintenance in order to restore the loss of productivity. Clothes that are washed with hard water can produce soiling and discoloring which lowers the quality of the fabric. For this reason, commercial laundries make sure the water that is used to wash the customer’s clothes is of the highest quality.

So which water softener is the best overall value for commercial applications? Commercial water softeners, in particular those manufactured using fleck valves are sufficiently suited with durable and low-energy consumption, which increases productivity. The resin media must also be ensured to have a high exchange capacity, including an effective and reliable softener tank from a reputable source such as Structural Pentair. Commercial water softener systems manufactured and distributed from Aqua Components are incorporated with all of these important features needed to treat hard water for applications in the commercial sector. They are easy-to-use throughout the softening process, incorporate a safety valve, LCD display, and are highly cost-effective.

How a commercial water softener system works?

Commercial water softener systems work by utilizing the concept of ion exchange, which is seen through the pouring of hard water into a treatment tank. The water softener tank contains ion exchange resin beads that are covered with sodium ions. The sodium ions are exchanged with the calcium and magnesium ions (which produce water hardness) during the process, and results in softened water.  In order to ensure continued effectiveness of the water softener system, there needs to be an incorporation of a brine tank. A brine tank works by utilizing a brine solution (salt must be added to brine tank manually) to recharge the resin within the water softener tank with sodium ions, once they have been fully replaced with calcium and magnesium ions. This process will allow for consistent hard water reduction through the regeneration of the ion exchange resin beads with sodium ions, and replacement of the calcium and magnesium ions.

How often should a commercial water softener regenerate?

There are a list of factors that need to be taken into account when determining the correct frequency of regeneration for your commercial water softener system. Some of these considerations consists of the level of hardness in the water, the amount of people in the location, and lastly the full tank capacity. If you need more information on selecting the right water softener for your specific application then contact our engineers who will provide all of the answers you need.
